De Maegeri Athenix 1 is een MMA sparring glove die stootkracht, handbescherming en bewegingsvrijheid voor grappling combineert in één ontwerp. Injected mold foam padding absorbeert de impact, terwijl het ergonomische open-vinger ontwerp je handen mobiel houdt tijdens grappling, clinchwerk en submissions.
Een versterkte, verstelbare klittenband polssluiting stabiliseert de pols en ondersteunt een correcte stoothouding. Vervaardigd uit duurzame kunstleer op MMA sparring gewicht (6–7 oz), is de Athenix 1 geschikt voor sparren, padwerk en algemene MMA-training, en is getest door professionele vechters van Levels Fight League (LFL).

I was looking for a set of MMA style sparring gloves when I found these and am thankful I did. They have a heavier padding than normal MMA gloves, but still allow full range of motion in the fingers. I have used them both on the bag and in sparring and they are great. I was able to grapple as well as strike (not full power) without issue. They are as comfortable as any gloves I've had. They definitely feel closer to a large size than an XL.I wish they had a bit more support in the wrist for bagwork, as I don't think I could fit wraps on under them, but for sparring when you're not going for a knockout, these are a great value.

This pair of gloves are well made. The design is protective at the key areas, while breathable and flexible. The size is a little bit smaller than expected. I got the size L-xL and they fit my teenage son but not my adult husband. The material is synthetic leather. The stitching is good. Great for hitting double ended bag or receiving mittens.
